Saltillo, Coahuila de Zaragoza.- With 52 pieces and 18 robots, replicas and impressive species skeletons, the exhibition "Coahuila: Land of Dinosaurs" was inaugurated, a unique exhibition throughout Mexico.
Among the replicas are Muzquizopteryx Coahuilens, Triceratops, Ornithiminus, Kritosaurus, Coahuilaceratops, Stegosaurus, Mantellisaurus, Tyrannosaurus, Spinosaurus, Ankylosaurus, Ornitholestes and Deinonychus; and the skeletons of the Velafrons, Tyrannosaurus and the Aramberri Monster.
Secretary of Economy and Tourism, Jaime Guerra Pérez, pointed out that Coahuila is the most diverse area of fossil organisms in Mexico; It has a protected natural area with the character of the palaeontological zone: "Rincón Colorado", in addition that its rich palaeontology is a very important tourist segment.
He explained that from June 27 to October 2018, from Tuesday to Sunday, lovers of dinosaurs and prehistoric beings, as locals from all over the northeastern part of the country, will be able to enjoy the pleasure of life. one of the largest robotic dinosaur exhibitions in Mexico.
"Coahuila: land of dinosaurs", is exhibited at the entrance of the Desert Museum (MUDE) in Parque Las Maravillas, and is the only exhibition in Mexico that exhibits dinosaur skeletons and robots, as well as information on the results found and documented in Coahuila.
Coahuila is recognized as one of the 10 places with the greatest fossil wealth in the world, in addition to the recognition of 13 new species of Mexican prehistoric fauna, among which stand out: dinosaurs, marine reptiles and flying, such as Coahuilaceratops Magnacuerna, Muzquizopteryx Coahuilans, Velafrons Coahuilenses and Geosaurus Saltillense.
The visit of "Coahuila: Land of the Dinosaurs" begins with the presence of the skeleton of the Aramberri Monster: the largest pliosaur in the world, with an age of 150 million years, the Upper Jurassic, measuring 15 meters long; as well as a Velafrons and the popular Tyrannosaurus Rex "Stan", who lived in the late Cretaceous.
The exhibition also features fish that accompanied dinosaurs in the geological epoch, such as lepidotes, whose partially digested remains were found in the baryonyx dinosaur's stomach.
Along the way, the famous reptile Mauriciosaurus Fernandezi, characterized by a long neck and a small head, is exposed; like the flying reptile Muzquizopteryx Coahuilensis, with an antiquity of 85 million years.
Among the jewels discovered by scientists working at the Desert Museum, it will be possible to see the 72 million year old Coahuilaceratops Magnacuerna; at Ornithomimus Sp, located in the desert of General Cepeda, Coahuila.
Among the moving figures and with sound, is the Ornitholestes, a fast and small hunter; imitating bird dinosaurs, the bloodthirsty Deinonychus, Stegosaurus and Ankylosaurus.
The Spinosaurus is an African dinosaur guest, who adds to this show of science and art. The robots also include the pterosaur, the flying reptile and the mammalian reptile Dimetrodon.
