Colombia repudiates the death of Venezuelan soldiers by members of the ELN

Bogota The Colombian government has condemned the killing of three Venezuelan soldiers of the Bolivarian National Guard during the events of November 4 in the state of Amazonas, in the hands of suspected members of the army rebel national liberation (ELN), reported the Foreign Ministry.
According to the Venezuelan Ministry of Defense, these "events occurred in retaliation for the capture of nine people, including Colombian citizen Luis Felipe Ortega Bernal, recognized leader of the National Liberation Army".
The Colombian government "rejects the terrorism and violence generated by armed groups organized in the form of the ELN, which have been beating Colombia and its people for years and will continue to confront it, in our territory, in the framework of legality ".
Colombia will be careful "to facilitate all necessary collaboration, through judicial cooperation, to punish those responsible for this unfortunate event, on the understanding that the fight against terrorism is a duty of all States". said the statement.
