The Attorney General of the State of Tabasco reported that despite the decision of the Superior Court of Justice (TSJE) to grant a writ of liberty to former Governor Andrés Granier and his Secretary of Administration and Finance, José Manuel "N", Both will continue in prison.
In a statement, the agency explained that the two former officials will not be released because the former has a conviction for embezzlement, while the second maintains open records, TSJE .
The Office of the Attorney General of Tabasco clarified that the decision of the Tabasco judges does not imply that the processes in question do not follow their course and that in the particular case of the former state agent, the judgment rendered against him on February 28 this year is invalidated for which he was sentenced to 10 years and 10 months in prison.
Similarly, José Manuel "N" is still under way for criminal proceedings 138/2013 and 183/2017, both for the crime of misappropriation of funds, pending a resolution of the jurisdictional court , so that his imprisonment situation in the state capital prison is not changed.
