For the first time in six years, the numbers have exceeded initial forecasts
The personal computer market seems to be showing signs of a slight recovery after years of decline.
According to the IDC analyst firm, in the second quarter of 2018, the traditional computer segment grew by 2.7% over the same period last year. This draws attention in particular to the company's forecast, which estimates a growth of only 0.3%.
IDC ensures that it is the fastest growing PC sales in the last six years. And this includes both sales of more traditional desktops or laptops as well as Chromebooks, leaving Windows tablets or servers.
In total, IDC claims to have sold more than 62 million computers around the world between the months of April and June 2018. It should be noted that these sales involve Armed computers in the factory and not the equipment that is assembled (and purchased) by parts.
this growth, according to IDC, relates to the business transition to Windows 10. Many companies are renewing their equipment taking advantage of the latest version of Windows, especially in the case of laptops.
Five in total are brands mentioned in the report, those that seem to dominate without much counterweight all that has to do with the sale of PCs: HP, Lenovo, Dell, Acer and Apple, whose sales have increased ( to a greater or lesser extent) around the world. [19659003] This growth is striking in a world totally dominated by the smartphone and especially in the spectrum of "ordinary people" who use more and more the phone and less computers to do their things everyday.
