CRE lists energy storage rules with lithium batteries

In order to guarantee the supply of electrical energy the Regulatory Commission Energy (CRE) will begin through consultations to develop the regulatory framework for storage of energy on a large scale through lithium batteries.

"It was something that had already been announced but had not made an official move," said the president of Asociación Solar de Energía Solar ( Asolmex ), Héctor Olea

] The executive explained that these consultations will also allow the development of the new regulatory building around small-scale storage for decentralized production.

One of the main challenges of solar energy is the need to cover the demand for electricity. At night, it is necessary to have battery storage systems and the necessary regulations for that.

"Within the Asolmex, we are already exploding the new energy storage committee to accompany the CRE in this new development.", Explained Olea at a workshop organized by Naturgy.
