Credit granted by commercial banks increases 7.8% in June

The Current Credit Portfolio for the Private Sector Granted by Commercial Bank rose by 7.8 percent during June compared to the same month last year, to add 4 billion 272 billion pesos, said Bank of Mexico (Banxico) [19659004] In his report Monetary Aggregates and Financial Activity, Banxico reported that in this portfolio on business credit and individuals with this activity was the most favored with a balance of 2 trillion 442 billion pesos, an increase of 12.5%.

Meanwhile, the balance of the credit granted to non-bank financial intermediaries was 77.7 billion pesos, which represented A reduction in financing granted by commercial banks increased by 3.5 per cent in real annual terms with 6 billion 637 billion pesos

"Among the components of this indicator, the financing granted to the private sector , which represents 67.9% of the total, was 4 508 billion pesos and increased by 7.5%. "

Meanwhile, the public sector financing which represents 21.4 % of total funding provided by commercial banks, elevated had a trillion of 418 billion pesos, which implied an increase of 5%.

For states and munic ipios with a 5.2% share of financing granted by commercial banks, amounted to 344 billion pesos, which Is reflected in a decrease of 2.1%.
