The third edition of the Day of the Dead parade and the inauguration of the mega-fair in Zócalo, in the capital, will take place today in Mexico City.
The parade will begin at 16 hours on the Estela de Luz, crossing the Paseo de la Reforma, Avenida Juarez, Calle 5 de Mayo and will end at Zócalo.
As the visit lasts approximately three hours, visitors are encouraged to wear comfortable clothing, water or moisturizing drinks, to use bags and small backpacks, to wear a hat or hat to protect themselves. from the sun and use sunscreen.
Families are encouraged to agree on meeting points with family and companions, avoid strollers and pets. It is also suggested to arrive early and provide access routes and evacuation.
This year, the parade will be dedicated to all migrants who lost their lives in transit to other countries, in the same way to all migrant groups who came to Mexico City over time for To enrich and transform it into a safe haven. .
The first part of the parade will remember the great Tenochtitlan and the first migrations, there would be giant skulls and multicolored floats. The second part will be dedicated to the tradition and celebration of the day of the dead, and finally to technology and the future.
On the other hand, the traditional offering of the deceased will be inaugurated on the esplanade of Zócalo, which will take up the most characteristic and iconographic elements of the tradition of this festival. The offering is Mexico's tribute to all its dead and its migrants.

The walk will have an extension of 18 kilometers in which you can walk from the Monument to the Revolution, Paseo de la Reforma to Bosque de Chapultepec.
There will also be a costume contest with three categories: individual children, ages 1 to 12; individual youth and adults 13 years and older; and teams of youth and adults 13 years and older.
The registration will take place on November 3 from 19:00 to 20:00, next to the Angel Independence Glorieta scene between the Paseo de la Reforma and the Rio Tíber.
The costumes must be original and respect the obligatory theme of the traditional Day of the Dead. For a better qualification, the use of a bike or recycled materials will be taken into account.
Originality, material, performance and expression will be evaluated on the stage. The awards ceremony will take place on the same day at 22:00. The winners will be able to bring bicycles, scooters and skateboards.
