Quintana Roo.- Due to the heat wave that appeared between July 23rd and 26th in almost the whole country, the National Coordination of Civil Protection, Ministry of the Interior (Segob), issued emergency statements for 24 states of the Mexican Republic
On Thursday, the Coordination, under the Ministry of the Interior, issued newsletters that cover a total of 642 municipalities distributed in Baja California, Baja California Sur, Campeche, Chihuahua and Chiapas, Notimex reports
Also included are Colima, Durango, Guerrero, Jalisco, Nayarit, Oaxaca, Puebla, Quintana Roo, Sinaloa, Sonora, Tabasco, Tamaulipas, ] Veracruz, Michoacán, Nuevo Leon, San Luis Potosí, Yucatan and Hidalgo

Here extraordinary emergency declarations, which provide state governments with access to the resources of the Emergency Fund (Fonden), with which they can meet the nutritional needs, the physical protection and the health of the affected population.
] Yucatán is the one with the most communes declared in emergency, with 98 in total; Some entities, such as Baja California and Baja California Sur, each have statements for five municipalities, although they cover virtually the entire geography of the peninsula.
Other states with a large number of municipalities considered in the statements (one per entity), are Chiapas, with 72, Chihuahua with 67, Sonora with 64 and Veracruz with 51.
For its part, the National Service of Meteorology (SMN) reported that the heatwave will continue to affect most of the national territory generating temperatures above 40 degrees Celsius in 16 states of the Mexican Republic
Maximum temperatures are expected from 35 to 40 degrees Celsius in the areas of Colima, Chiapas, Nuevo Leon, Aguascalientes, Guanajuato, State of Mexico, Puebla, Morelos, Tamaulipas, Veracruz, Tabasco, Campeche, Yucatan and Quintana Roo.
