Enrique Zorrilla will leave the management of Scotiabank México

Scotiabank Mexico announced the departure of Enrique Zorrilla Fullaondo in the general direction of the bank of Canadian origin, led by Adrián Otero Rosiles around the middle of next year.

"Zorrilla Fullaondo successfully led the growth and transformation phase of Scotiabank Mexico, decided to leave the bank's general management effective June 1, 2019 to focus on institutional relations," he said.

In a statement, he explained that as part of the transition strategy, Otero Rosiles will join the bank on February 1st, working closely with Enrique to assume his new position.

"We are extremely grateful to Enrique, who led an extraordinary cycle for Scotiabank in Mexico, with some very important strategic accomplishments," said Brian Porter, Chief Executive Officer, Scotiabank.

He pointed out that Otero had extensive experience in areas such as corporate banking, investment banking, private banking and auto finance and mortgage activities; as well as a degree in finance from the Monterrey Institute of Technology and a master's degree in Economics from the European School of Economics in the United Kingdom.

"We are happy to continue to count on all the experience he has gained in his new role and we welcome Adrián.We are confident that, taking advantage of Enrique's tremendous heritage, will be a key element in advancing Scotiabank México, "concluded Porter.
