With the announcement of the Xbox Adaptive Controller, Microsoft sent an important message to the entire industry: the game should be an activity accessible to people with disabilities. While other companies have not responded to this – new products do not develop from day to night – there are fans who have already started working. One of them has created a DualShock 4 that allows you to play the PlayStation 4 one-handed.
The person in charge of this command is Doppel, youtuber who showed his prototype in a video mounted on his channel. In this one we see that he has modified a DualShock 4 to put it in a plastic case that can be used with one hand. The result is a control that looks like a PlayStation Move but with several changes that make all buttons can be used with one hand.
So, it's a control that has the buttons near the right directional stick so that everything can be accessed with the thumb. On the other hand, the triggers and bumpers are positioned on the control handle to be used with the other 4 fingers of the hand. On the other hand, the left stick is in the lower part of the control and to move it must be reloaded in one leg or any surface.
You can see how it works in the following video:
Yes, it is clear that the control of Doppel is far from perfect or the ideal solution for disabled players. However, it is good to see that more and more people want to make the game accessible to everyone. Of course, it is important to mention that Doppel is not the first player on the internet something like this and recently a player has surprised us by creating a solution that allows you to use the Joy-Con Switch of One hand.
Do you think about the control Doppel has created? What do you think I could do to improve it? Tell us in the comments.
