The American Jeff Bezos owner of Amazon and founder of the airline company Blue Origin plans to make "tourist" trips to space. A leak – of two people familiar with the plans of the tycoon – allowed him to know how much he intends to charge for the tickets.
The company had already announced that it was planning to start these trips soon, which would be carried out aboard Shepard's new suborbital artificial capsule . Although the specific dates are not yet known, next year they could start selling themselves and the first passages to make one of those trips that have no purpose beyond their own experience.
The capsule has already been tested over the last few months and their recent successes suggest that the future they promise is closer than it appears. On board, there could be a total of 6 people who could be transported up to 100 kilometers from the Earth.
As we could already guess, traveling in space to go sightseeing is not going to be something that is within reach of every pocket. Virgin Galactic another of the companies fighting for this service, has already started selling some of its tickets with a minimum price of 250 thousand dollars.
According to the leaks to which Bezos would have drawn a similar plan, with some notes would be between 200 thousand and 300 thousand dollars
A Blue Origin and Virgin Galactic should be added, at least, two other companies that can suppose a serious competition between them, that are SpaceX, of Elon Musk, and Orion Span . Who will be the first to take tourists in space and who will do it cheaply is something that remains unknown
