For its part, Cynthia Iliana Lopez Castro, MPP of the PRI, said that the repealed education reform would cancel the programs promoted in the field of education: CIEN schools, full – time schools, professionalization programs continues, removal of safeguards established by law to ensure quality education and the existence of the National Institute of Educational Assessment (INEE).

In this regard, the Secretary noted the establishment of the Contribution Fund for Salaries and Operating Expenses of Education (Fone) in 2015, an instrument to cover the payment of education services Basic and normalized federated staff, and made sure the payment to teachers and school administrative staff was timely.

During the hearing, the secretary announced that one million 521,197 teachers participated in the various assessments. 242,000 teachers got their place or promotion. More than 133,000 teachers benefit from financial incentives after getting the higher scores on his performance.

He said that 136,000 vacant teaching positions would be left to the new government.

He pointed out that the higher education system faces serious difficulties, since a cumulative deficit of 15,000 million pesos only accumulated in 10 public universities.
