MEXICO – The Liga MX could start negotiations in December for their clubs to return to Copa Libertadores, said the president of CONMEBOL, Alejandro Domínguez.
The director said that in one month he will meet in Asunción, Paraguay, the president of the Mexican Football Federation, Yon de Luisa and the Liga MX president, Enrique Bonilla.
"This issue has been addressed today and I have an outstanding debate on December 3 in Asunción, Paraguay," Dominguez said.
"It's a question of wills, order schedules and it's one of Mexico's biggest problems, but the doors are open," he said.
The leader ruled out that the return of the Liga MX a Libertadores is given in 2019, since the tournament calendar is ready.
"I understand that the meeting will take place around the Copa Libertadores and I do not know if it is also for the South American competitions, among which Copa América.The calendar is already finished and a collection of 1.4 Billion dollars has been realized and open doors are there to find solutions, "he said.
