Mexico City – At least five people died Sunday in two municipalities in Michoacán after being struck by lightning, local media reported.
Four members of one family died in Paracho municipality – father, mother and two children – who were sheltered from the rain under a tree.
State authorities have not established the age bracket of these four people who were surprised by the electrical storm
occurred in the Valle community Verde, belonging to Zitácuaro, where a man of about 25 years old was struck by lightning.
The man died, according to local authorities, while he was working in a field.
