The company Nestlé plans to make an investment to develop its factories in Mexico regardless of changes in the economic, commercial or political environment triggered by the renegotiation of the treaty Free Trade Agreement of North America (NAFTA) and the recent electoral process, as reported by its executive chairman in the country, Fausto Costa .

"These events do not change the commitment to Mexico with the investments, the expansion of its portfolio, the strategy of innovation and the construction of Mexican talent," said Costa after the Third Meeting of Youth of the Alliance. Cali, Colombia .

He pointed out that the development of these projects is still being discussed within the company, saying the plan is to work with the potential that Mexico already has. It would not be the first time, since 2016 the company invested 245 million dollars in the expansion of its infant nutrition factory located in Ocotlán, Jalisco

The executive recalled that Mexico is the fifth largest market in revenue contribution for the Swiss multinational and concluded by saying that the important thing is to have the institutions and space that maintain a sustainable growth of the company and, at the same time, contribute to the country's economy.
