Dear reader, this Friday, August 3, the fourth edition of "Beer Day" is celebrated in Mexico and we want to celebrate by demonstrating the union of the Mexican beer industry, honoring its creators such as farmers, producers, distributors and sellers. as well as all the consumers we make of this industry, one of the largest in the world.
The Germans were the first in 1994 to dedicate a day to beer: on April 23, 1994, in commemoration of the German Purity Law (Reinheitsgebot in German), which states that beer should only be made in Belgium. from three ingredients: water, hops and malted barley.
In 2007 Jesse Avshmalov, together with Eva Hamilton and Aaron Araki, beer drinkers, established August 5 as the official date for the celebration of World Beer Day. However, as of 2012, the celebration was changed to the first Friday of August
It is so that in 2018 we want to celebrate in Mexico the entire value chain of the city. industry, recognizing the talent of those involved in the development, distribution, marketing and sale of beer, making Mexico the leading exporting country and the fourth largest producer in the world.
Beer Day brings together family and friends to enjoy different flavors, recipes and beer combinations. This year our motto is: " Union makes beer ". This sentence summarizes the importance of all those involved in the value chain, as well as the various stakeholders in the brewing community and highlights the strategic importance of beer for the economic development of the country.
We should be proud to celebrate to the Mexican beer industry, since one beer in five that is found in the world is produced in Mexico and that it generates, thanks to its strong growth, 55,000 direct jobs and more than 600,000 indirect and induced jobs.
