Nine people, including refugees, were injured Saturday night in Boise, Idaho, in the northwestern United States, while they were stabbed by a suspect who was already being held by the authorities, said the local police. The wounded were hospitalized and four of them are in serious condition, said the Boise Police Department (BPD) in a statement.

"Victims include members of the Boise refugee community, as well as Psychologists and coordinators "The police did not specify how many wounded are refugees or their origin, and gave no indication as to whether the attacker could have political motivation or whether his mobile was another.
The suspect is a "30-year-old man" who is interrogated by local police detectives, according to the statement.
Boise Police Chief Bill Bones hinted that some of the victims may be children, assuring reporters that "the age of the victims varies greatly," according to the local newspaper The Idaho Statesman
. The number of victims is the largest ever recorded in a single incident in the history of this city of just over 200,000 residents, according to police.
