US National Security Advisor John Bolton said that North Korea could dismantle most of its nuclear weapons programs in one year despite the reports this country is still developing weapons.
In an interview broadcast on CBS on Sunday, Bolton noted that " physically, we could dismantle the overwhelming majority of its programs in one year" as long as North Korea cooperates with these efforts.
The official assured that the White House had devised a plan of action to dismantle North Korea's nuclear weapons programs, as well as its chemical and biological arsenals.
Bolton added that Pyongyang would also dismantle its program of ballistic missiles which are the transport required to launch nuclear warheads.
Bolton's comments come after the NBC channel and the newspaper The Washington Post published this weekend reports based on US intelligence officials who believe that North Korea continues to manufacture fuel for nuclear weapons.
