Yesterday was Fortnite's first summer skirmish, one of the competitive events of Fortnite: Battle Royale that Epic Games was preparing as part of its ambitious plans. Unfortunately, the participants were lag victims, one of the main enemies of all players. This caused the event to be ruined and last less than expected.
In the matches of yesterday, there were 35 teams of 2 players who were made up of experts in Fortnite and celebrities. The Epic Games plan was that 10 games were made and that the first team to get 2 Victory Royales got first place and a prize of $ 50,000 US. If no team reached this goal, the prize would be awarded to the one who would have had the most losses in all games played.
Unfortunately, the delay was attacked when everyone was waiting for it – you can see an example of what has been experienced. The teams then stopped attacking and focused on staying alive for camping and hiding. In the long run, the public began to lose interest in the action of this competitive event. So, Epic Games decided that it was best to end the event after 4 games played
The good news is that Epic Games took note of everything that went wrong during the first summer skirmish of Fortnite: Battle Royale . So, he's already making adjustments for a better show next week: "Thanks to all the participants of the first week of Summer Skirmish! We'll be using different formats every week. We'll spend time improving server performance and correct mistakes. "
