The Federal Police in collaboration with the Attorney General of the capital, arrest a Paraguayan woman, member of an international network of traffickers, accused of having recruited some 180 foreigners to prostitute them in Mexico .

He explained that the detainee had appeared before a judge for the crime of human trafficking and that he was detained temporarily in the women's prison of Santa Marta Acatitla .

He noted that investigations show that Graciela hired, mainly, women from Argentina, Venezuela and Paraguay that she brought to Mexico with tricks that they were going to be aid.

"I paid them the travel expenses (plane ticket, lodging and food) and then they came out that they owed a very big deal, for a hefty sum, that they have to pay to be able to work supposedly at liberty, but the debt is never over, and they force them to prostitute themselves to repay their debt, "he said.

He recalled that, if some girls do not feel victims of this network, their mode of operation makes them immediately victims of this crime, punishable up to 30 years in prison.

He explained that after more than a year of research, Graciela was identified as one of the "enganchadoras" of foreign women who were prostituted by the aforementioned criminal network.

"She spent six years in the country operating this way, recruiting people in Mexico City, and it is estimated that she recruited two or three dozen girls per year, "added the manager.

He recalled that Graciela did not act alone then, as part of the investigation, they have up to now between six and twelve arrest warrants pending against members of the said criminal network.

Last April, Federal Police rescued 17 women of Venezuelan, Colombian and Paraguayan nationality, who claimed to be sexually exploited by providing services in hotels and bars in Mexico City.

They said that they covered fees and schedules, and even offered their services on the portal Zonas Divas, for which they were forced to sign an authorization to upload their images on the aforementioned portal in front of a notary.

It will be in the next few hours when the judge will determine if the person is being prosecuted and, if so, he will keep the person deprived of liberty.
