Pemex reported this Friday a utility 26 thousand 780 million pesos in the third quarter of this year, compared with a loss of 101,000,808 million euros for the same period in 2017.

This variation was caused by a foreign exchange gain of 94.7 billion pesos, taking into account the appreciation of the Mexican peso against the US dollar during the period. The exchange rate rose from 19.8633 pesos per dollar on June 30, 2018 to 18.8120 pesos per dollar at the end of the third quarter, said the oil.

The company reported to the Mexican Stock Exchange an increase in total sales of 33 percent a year, at 439 billion 148 million pesos, thanks to an increase in sales driven by the recovery of crude oil prices.

This utility also contributed to the cost of sales, which increased by 30.5 percent, due to increased purchases of gasoline and diesel.

"Domestic sales rose 18 percent due to liberalization brought about by gasoline prices and the diesel effect," said Pemex.

Over the last three months, crude oil production averaged 1.8 million barrels a day.

Meanwhile, total oil production Pemex has two thousand 536,000 barrels of crude oil equivalent, while liquid hydrocarbons average 850,000 barrels per day.

Similarly, the Crown corporation recorded a 2.2% reduction in financial debt compared to the end of 2017.
