Prevent 4 million visitors from celebrating the Day of the Dead

MEXICO.

The Government of Mexico City estimates that about 4 million people will visit and attend various Day of the Dead celebrations they started this weekend in the country's capital.

This was reported by the head of government, José Ramón Amieva, explaining that in the various activities planned since this Saturday and until November 4thapproximately 4 million people will participate in these commemorations.

"We expect that during these days from November 27 to 4, we could exceed the 4 million people present in the parade, the basement offer and the concerts," he said.

From the parade of the dead of Paseo de la Reforma that takes place this Saturday, October 27 at the Great Offering of Zócalo and concerts with Eugenia León in the Monument to the Revolution and that of Óscar Chávez at the Amieva City Theater nearly 4 million people will benefit from this tradition dedicated to the deceased faithful.

Offer road alternatives by Day of the Dead Parade

Starting at 4:00 pm this Saturday, the traditional Day of the Dead parade will start, which will begin its journey on the Estela de Luz and continue on the Paseo de la Reforma towards Avenida Juarez.

In addition, it will cross the street on May 5 and will end in the grid of the capital Zócalo, so it is recommended to the population to take precautions.

The Public Security Secretariat (SSP) of the capital recommends as alternative routes to the north: Interior circuit; south, Circunvalación and internal circuit; to the east, Eje 1 Norte, Chapultepec Avenue, Dr. Río de la Loza and the San Joaquín River, and to the west, José María Izazaga, Chapultepec and Río San Joaquín avenues.

On the other hand, the municipal police will ensure the safety before, during and after the event, as well as the maintenance of order on the roads for the participants and the population in general.

The agency urged the public to respect the road cuts made by the traffic police during the passage of the contingent, to comply with the indications of the authorized personnel in transit, to anticipate their departure and, in the event urgently, to locate the nearest security point
