The annual ranking of the Spanish edition of "Forbes", which includes the 100 richest people in Spain over the last twelve months, counts REPORTUR.mx, with the presence of 15 hotel investors in the Caribbean, such as the leaders of Iberostar (Almundo), Meliá, Barceló, Riu, Lopesan, Palladium, Globalia or El Corte Inglés.

He leads the ranking Amancio Ortega, owner of Inditex and Zara, with a fortune of 58,000 million euros, a legacy that positions him as the sixth richest man in the world, in which reigns Jeff Bezos, owner of Amazon, thanks to its 98,700 million euros (owners of Meliá, Almundo, Riu and Barceló, among the richest in Spain).

Miguel Fluxá, president of the Iberostar group, is in fourth place. Its capital of 3,500 million euros is located after the daughter of Amancio Ortega, Sandra Ortega, reference shareholder of Room Mate, which has an ambitious expansion in Mexico and after Juan Roig, president of Mercadona, although superior to fifth place of Rafael del Pino, president of Ferrovial (the owner of Almundo and Iberostar would be the fourth richest in Spain).

In 18th place, Gabriel Escarrer Juliá, founder and president of Meliá; Simón Pedro Barceló, 32, co-president of the Barceló group; 39 Carmen Riu, CEO of RIU Hotels & Resorts; at 49 Marta and Cristina Álvarez, shareholders of El Corte Inglés, and at age 54, Simón and Guillermo Barceló, shareholders of the Barceló group (Barceló announces zero debt and is launched to buy channels).

For his part, in 61st place, Eustasio López, president of Lopesan; in 67, Pepe Hidalgo, president of Globalia; in 97, Abel Matutes, chairman of the Matutes business group, although one of the noisiest absences is that of Isabel García Lorca, widow of Pablo Piñero, who is probably the biggest fortune of the entire tourism sector.

In addition, the other absences selected are those of the Espelt family (H10); Vallet (Catalonia); Carrillo (Globales) or Llull (Hipotels), all with a notable international presence (The Forbes list and its mistakes with the rich Spanish of tourism).
