Sagarpa, economy and INE increase government spending

The programmable net expenditure during the period January – May this year was 9.7% higher in real terms than in the same period last year, due of the increase in the expenditure of several dependencies, including the Secretariats of Agriculture (Sagarpa) and Economía (SE), National Electoral Institute (INE), the Commission for Energy Regulation (CRE), as well as the Federal Electricity Commission (CFE).

During the period, expenditures were 2.22 billion pesos, 293.110 million more that spent in the same period of 2017 and 136 thousand 460 million pesos more than was programmed for this period (2.08 billion pesos), according to the report of finance and public debt of the Ministry of Finance and Public Credit ( SHCP ).

By dependency, [194] 59003] Sagarpa was the one who increased his expenses the most, with an increase of 108.9%; followed by SE with 102.1%; INE 84%; and CRE with 55.5%. For its part, the CFE increased its expenditures by 45.6% during this period

In the first five months of the current year, the Public Sector Financial Requirements (RFSP) measures the most balanced federal public sector, recorded a deficit of 84.5 billion pesos, in line with the annual target of a 2.5 percent deficit of gross domestic product (GDP) .

The federal agency specified that the primary balance had a surplus of 132 billion pesos, higher than that provided in the program of 16.2 billion pesos; this surplus is compared to the same period of the previous year, which was 504.5 billion pesos, due to the whole of the ROBM in 2017.
