Mexico City. Banco Santander and Tecnológico de Monterrey have agreed to create a unique data hub in the country, which will combine the development of innovation projects in banking with the training of talent in the field of science and analytics. through a joint master's degree.

The agreement for the creation of this space was signed between the president of Banco Santander México, Héctor Grisi Checa, and the rector of Tecnológico de Monterrey, David Garza Salazar.

During the signing, Grisi Checa indicated that "this Data Hub will allow us to study in depth specific segments and to provide new technological solutions to our products for the benefit of our customers." During the first year, we will develop two projects focused on financial inclusion in Mexico, one focused on women and the other aimed at SMEs, which will be led by the engineering department and the school Once this stage is over, we will be in constant collaboration to be able to develop four projects a year. "

This data center has two priorities: to develop projects applicable to the banking sector between Santander and the Tecnológico de Monterrey community, and to contribute to the training and academic development of Big Data and machine learning inside this house of studies.

Thus, the professors and students of Tecnológico de Monterrey will work on important initiatives for the bank, related in particular to consumer behavior, financial and banking inclusion, investments, investment scenarios for the bank private and cash.

In parallel, he will seek to develop talents in the field of science and data analysis, structuring a degree in data science and Big Data for the bank's human capital and for those who are interested to training in these issues, as well as designing a joint master's degree and a series of academic publications.
