Sheinbaum and Del Mazo agree on the rescue of Texcoco

The elected President of the Government, Claudia Sheinbaum, and the Governor of the State of Mexico, Alfredo del Mazo, have agreed to propose an environmental rescue plan of the lands of the former Lake Texcoco with a view to the 39, possible cancellation of the new airport in this region.

In terms of security, Claudia Sheinbaum said the goal would be to locate the main sources of red in order to fight crime.

In the case of mobility, there is a mutual interest in implementing a comprehensive regulation of public transport, in cases such as the Cetrams, said Sheinbaum Pardo, who presented his plan to extend the Constitution of 1917 to Acatitla, then Chalco or Ixtapaluca.

With regard to solid waste management, he indicated that work would also be requested in coordination and that a metropolitan commission is planned for each subject, in addition to taking the figure of the Metropolitan Council. He added that they had agreed to meet formally after taking office on Dec. 5, and then integrate metropolitan commissions to look into the most important issues, such as security, mobility, the environment.

He added that he would also ask the governor of Morelos, Cuauhtémoc Blanco, and the authorities of Hidalgo to coordinate their activities.

In the case of Morelos, he proposed to unify transport databases as a safety measure.
