The Network Telemundo took the decision of to suspend part of the distribution of "The Lord of the Heavens ", for actions considered racist in a celebration of the pass of the Mexican national team to the round of 16 World Cup Russia 2018. The actors of the Telemundo series, through a video, made fun of the eyes of the Asian community.
The video shows Carmen Aub (Rutila, daughter of Aurelio Casillas), David Ponce ("El Skinny"), Iván Arana ( Ismael), Alejandro Felix ("Chatarrero") and Antonio López Torres ("El Pulque") making gestures that offended some.
Also in the video are Alex Walerstein ("El Greñas") and Karen Sandoval (Laura), but they are not seen imitating Korean players On
Through a statement the network Telemundo commented:
The gestures of our cast of "The Lord of Heaven" in a video posted on Instagram referring to the South Korean football team are totally offensive and insensitive to the Asian community.
