AutoCosmos reports that two decades after its world debut in 1998 and four years after the appearance of the third generation of the TT, Audi is bringing a series of adaptations in design, performance and the following. equipment of this sports car available in coupe or roadster.
Thus, coinciding with the TT's 20 years of life, Audi is launching this facelift with a series of rough equipment. In this way, all versions include a digital dashboard, the Audi Drive Select driving system, automatic lighting of lights and rain sensors, automatic air conditioning, LED interior lighting, heated side mirrors and multifunction steering wheel plus, which allows to operate the information and entertainment system by voice command.
In addition to these standard comfort features, the Audi TT 2019 looks sportier thanks to the new grille design, the slightly wider air intakes redesigned and more aggressive lines on the side of the body.
In the case of the optional S Line package, the TT sees its reinforced character by means of a separator, vertical air intakes, a grid with black titanium finish, side skirts, diffuser and air intakes located under the rear optical groups.
Continuing with the outdoors, the TT 2019 sees the arrival of three new shades for the body: the blue cosmos, the orange pulse and the blue turbo (the latter, exclusive to the S line). In addition, there is a new image for the 17-inch wheels and, in the higher versions, 18, 19 and 20 inches.
The new Audi TT 2019 will be available with a 2.0-liter four-cylinder TFSI engine, combined with an S-Tronic gearbox, available with three power levels. In variant 40 TFSI, it distributes 197 Hp; in the 45 TFSI and 45 TFSI versions, Quattro has 245 Hp; finally, there will be the TTS, which carries the numbers to 306 horses.
In addition to these adjustments mentioned above, the brand has created the special edition "Audi TT 20 years" to commemorate the birth of the model. Limited to 999 units, the sports car incorporates some of the design elements of the Roadster concept that debuted in 1995, and on which the production model is based. Special features of this special edition include gray paint, Matrix OLED taillights, 19-inch gray wheels, stainless steel exhaust and badges.
The Audi TT 2019 arrives at dealerships in Germany and other European countries in the fourth quarter of 2018, so Mexico should do the same in the middle of the year 2019. [19659009]
