Queretaro and Yucatan they are among the states that report that they have no clandestine graves; however, according to the survey "Mexico country of the pits"conducted by a group of independent journalists, the authorities hide information about it.
"Baja California, Querétaro, Guanajuato, Mexico City, Puebla and Yucatán claim to have no graves, but they deny this situation," said journalist Alejandra Guillén, who contributed to the survey, in an interview with Javier Risco for The Hard Note.
"The case of Queretaro is very emblematic, we had to talk to the families of the disappeared." Queretaro's families came to the Jalisco morgue and said: "They deny the existence of graves, but we know that "They exist," and the map reflects this, "said Paloma Robles, a journalist with Quinto Elemento Lab.
The journalists counted, from the data of the prosecutor's offices, 2,884 bodies, 324 skulls, 217 bones, 799 skeletal remains and thousands of remains and bone fragments corresponding to an indeterminate number of individuals .
As well as about two thousand clandestine graves between the years 2006 and 2016 in Mexico.
However, they stressed that information is still not revealed by the authorities. This figure can not therefore be considered as a total.
