The Court confirms the triumph of PAN at Monterrey City Hall

The Regional Chamber of the Electoral Court of the Judiciary of the Federation, decided tonight that the triumph in the elections of July 1 corresponded to the BREAD in the capital of Nuevo Leon, and this new majority record must be set in favor of the NAP Felipe de Jesús Cantú Rodríguez; while he ratified for the PRI the victory Guadalupe City, in favor of Cristina Díaz Salazar, having resolved on August 17 the resolution State Electoral Tribunal, reversing the victory that the Municipal Electoral Commission, acknowledged PAN Pedro Garza.

In the Monterrey case, the regional chamber overturned the decision of the State Electoral Court on August 17, considering the groundless nullification of the TEE as unfounded, alleging alleged misconduct in the chain of custody with which the PRI I had returned the results.

In the case of Ciudad Guadalupe, the magistrates voted unanimously to ratify the victory in favor of the PRI, Cristina Díaz, as determined by the TEE, canceled the victory initially recognized by the PAN. Pedro Garza by the National Electoral Commission, in the elections of July 1st.

The NAP claimed that of the 177 canceled cards in Monterrey, the TEE magistrates had canceled one hundred for late opening, a case revoked since 1994 and that, if it had been applied throughout the country, the invalidated procedure would have multiplied.

"I am very happy because justice is finally done.What we were looking for was to give people back their vote, the value of the vote and that fills us with satisfaction and pride," said Felipe Cantú, who has been a sit-in for two months. the Monterrey Municipal Palace, in addition to letting his beard grow, with the promise of shaving until justice is done.

For his part, Pedro Garza, in a message addressed to his supporters gathered on the main square of Guadeloupe, said that this struggle would continue for the respect of the vote until the last consequences and that his legal team was already answering the questions. arguments put forward by the Regional Council. so that the triumph that the voters gave him to the polls and he stole the State Electoral Tribunal.

However, the last decision that the Superior Court will take will always be missing if the parties that have lost the decision of the regional chamber have resources to fight it, which should be resolved by midnight on October 30 at the latest. On the 31st, the change of municipal powers in the state must be carried out constitutionally.
