After the closing of the polls, the dollar fell to 19.81 pesos on the international markets, where the majority of transactions are made with the Mexican currency.
This is down 10 cents from last Friday when the currency finished at 19.91 units, according to Reuters information.
The beginning of the closing of the polls in different parts of the country coincides with the opening of international negotiations on the foreign exchange markets.
Wholesaling accumulates an increase of 16 cents in the year, although it was quoted at 20.89 pesos on June 14, a maximum of 17 months.
