To our brother Chester, It's been a year since you died – a surreal heart rotation, grief, denial and recognition. And yet, it feels like being nearby, surrounding us with your memory and your light. Your unique spirit has created an indelible imprint on our hearts: our jokes, our joy and our tenderness. Eternally grateful for the love, life and creative passion you shared with us and the world. In addition to the tribute of Linkin Park the bassist Dave "Phoenix" Farrell wrote a letter to the musician.
" Chester : Last year, a day did not pass without my thinking about you, I miss you and it always hurts not to I've chosen to not speak at your memorial because I could not phrase the words to adequately express how I felt … I chose not to speak at tribute concert because I knew it would cost me even to speak and today, a year after your death, I still have trouble eloquently expressing what it means for your family, your friends, your admirers and for me, there are so many things that I feel and that I could say, I would like but I do not know how to say … but one thing that I know for sure, is that you are loved, "wrote Farrell
Chester, last year, there was not a day that passed that I did not think of you. I miss you, and it's e still badly not to have it here. I chose not to talk to your memory because I could not formulate the words to adequately express how I felt … I chose not to speak at the Celebration of Life Concert because I knew I would have a hard time talking at all And today, one year after your passing, I still have trouble trying to eloquently express what you mean for your family, your friends, your fans … and for me. There are so many things that I feel and that I could say, and that I would like to say, and that I do not know how to say … but one thing that I know for sure, is that you are loved , and you're missed Be Well My Friend, Dave
