Andrés Manuel López Obrador, virtual elected president, informs that the destination of the New Mexico International Airport (NAIM) will be decided by a citizen consultation to be held at the end of October.

The virtual elected president said that he analyzes which organization can organize and carry out the consultation.
"We will see if it is through the INE, an association of civil society, citizens, to organize the consultation, people of indisputable honesty, Democrats, people who want citizen participation ".

López Obrador said that there are solutions for the construction of the NAIM: continue with the construction of the l & # 39; 39, Lake Texcoco Airport; build some tracks in the military base of Santa Lucia; or the concession to private initiative.
On the other hand, the former head of government clarified that the businessman José María Riobóo does not participate in the call for bids for the airport construction.
After the businessman took part last week in the meeting of the virtual president team with the secretary of communications, Gerardo Ruiz Esparza, to share information about the NAIM.
Javier Jiménez Espriú stated that the participation of the businessman at this meeting was as a citizen and not in order to participate in the construction of the new airport.
