The stimulus for Magna gasoline will continue
MEXICO (El Universal) .- For the second consecutive week, the federal government will withdraw the stimulus or subsidy granted to motorists, through the special tax, which uses premium gasoline, the most expensive and least polluting.
Under-Secretary of Revenue of the Ministry of Finance and Public Credit (SHCP), Alberto Torres, announced through the Official Journal of the Federation (DOF) that once again, the stimulation of the gasoline with an octane number greater than or equal to 92 low sulfur commercially called Premium, the percentage and amount of the stimulus will be zero. The same will apply to non-fossil fuels or alternative fuels such as ethanol, derived from corn and emitting less gas, and for biodiesel extracted from vegetable oils and animal fats and less polluting.
For the week of today, from November 3rd to Friday, November 9th, motorists will pay the full fee of 3.88 pesos per liter of the special tax on production and services. services (IEPS) applied to premium gasoline and non-fossil fuels sold to the general public at service stations.
In the case of Magna gasoline whose percentage is less than 92 octanes, it is the one that consumes the most and is cheaper than the Premium, the recovery through the IEPS will continue. However, this stimulus provided by the government will be reduced from 23.29% of the week which ended yesterday Friday to 22.31% for the period from November 3rd to 9th, 2018.
Fees
Although the tax payable for the special tax paid by motorists for the purchase of the Magna is 4.59 pesos per liter, the federal government will subsidize 1,024 pesos while it was at 1,069 pesos last week.
With this, the consumer will cover a reduced quota of IEPS for the Magna of 3,566 pesos per liter, which is higher than 3,521 pesos established by the SHCP from 27 October to 2 November. From January to September 2018, the federal government fetched 128 million, 582 million pesos of income from the IEPS on gasoline and diesel, amounting to less than 53,000 478 million pesos as planned and 182,000 to 60 million pesos this period. For the collection of the special tax on fossil fuels or the green tax (oil, coal, natural gas and liquefied petroleum gas), 4 billion 621 million pesos were collected during the first nine months of this year, Ie the planned target of 6 billion 507 million pesos.
