CITY OF MEXICO.- The head of the government of Mexico, José Ramón Amieva recognized the work of Hiram Almeida as head of the Ministry of Public Security and assured that his resignation is due to the closure of a cycle.

He assured that he will meet the various police to find alternatives for a future appointment, which the President of the Republic must ratify.

Hiram Almeida submitted his resignation Wednesday night, without giving the reasons for his departure from the Secretariat of Public Security of Mexico, where he was in charge of more than three and a half years
At a press conference, he simply thanked the staff he had in charge during his stay in the unit.
