The species was found near a boat launching ramp on the Katherine River.
National Geographic reported that the average of a crocodile is 5 meters long, however, to capture a species of this size is very strange.
It was reported that this crocodile was first seen once in 2010 and since then its research has been undertaken to prevent it from "interacting with humans" .
According to CNN, the reptile "will be transported to a crocodile farm in the Katherine area."
