Morena will promote in the Senate an initiative to enact a law to promote the confidence of citizens in order to establish the new system of tax collection, which will be based on the principle of "good faith".

The purpose of this amendment is to suspend the surveillance and surveillance of commercial and service establishments, in response to the principle of public trust sought by Andrés Manuel López Obrador's government.

The law proposes to lay the foundations and legal instruments to restore citizens' trust in institutions, while those who comply with the law will benefit from advantages and facilities allowing them to better exercise their economic activities.

Under this program and as the president-elect has already announced, the owners of establishments will have the obligation to register and to declare, subject to truth, that they know the laws, regulations and that they will act responsibly.

The World Economic Forum's Competitiveness Report indicates that corruption is the biggest drag on investment in the country and places Mexico 127th out of 137 nations in terms of misappropriation of public funds.

In addition, the Economic Competitiveness Forum estimates the cost of corruption at 2 percent of GDP, compared to 9 percent for Banco de México, the World Bank and Forbes, and 10 percent for Cees.
