Splatoon 2 was premiered for Nintendo Switch on July 21, 2017, so we look forward to celebrating its first anniversary. Of course, Nintendo is preparing a special celebration for the occasion, as the whole community can celebrate the first year of the shooting game in the following Splatfest
The theme of the event will be related to the types of characters available in the game. So you will have to decide if you are part of the Squid team or the Octopus team. You will be able to select your favorite team from Friday, July 6th.
The world event will officially begin July 20, just to celebrate the anniversary of Splatoon 2 . If you still do not have Octo Expansion, know that you can always play with the Octolings if you decide to be part of the Octopus team.
For their part, members of the Squid team will play in Inklings. Nintendo has not confirmed more surprises to celebrate the shooter, but we do not rule out preparing other novelties for this month.

Splatoon 2 also recently received a new card, along with 4 additional weapons, with what Nintendo reaffirms its commitment to launch free post-release content on a regular basis.
