Two people die during the CDMX marathon

The organizing committee of the 2018 Banorte Half Marathon regretted the death of Lázaro Gómez Humberto who participated with the number 23835 and who was 59 years old, after suffering a cardiovascular arrest during the development of the competition

The corridor was assisted at the height of Diane Huntress's lookout – at kilometer 20.5 – by paramedics of the Emergency and Medical Relief Squadron (ERUM), who transferred her at Rubén Leñero hospital where he died.

The organizers also expressed their deepest condolences to the runner's family David Mauricio Villavicencio Santiago 62 years old, who was not officially registered at the Half-Marathon, however, of the same form was saved after suffering a heart attack and taken to the Polanco Red Cross where he died.

The Organizing Committee and various governmental agencies of the CDMX have already been in contact with the relatives of the deceased in order to show their condolences and to assist them in the funeral.
