Ushiro for Nintendo Switch, a "ghost project"

Akihiro Hino, CEO of Level-5, reveals Ushiro for Nintendo Switch. This forgotten and ghostly PSP project will have a new opportunity to exist.

At least for me, one of the surprises of this week was the announcement of Ushiro for Nintendo Switch. It was something else unusual, since many considered canceling this title of Level 5. What is happening is that it was supposed to be the tenth anniversary game of the studio's life. It was announced in 2008 for this reason and its launch on PSP was planned.

As you can see in the trailer that accompanies this note, it's a RPG with elements of terror and mechanisms related to the spirits. Many believe that this title is what laid the foundation for the series of Yo-Kai watch. In a way, one might think that is the case. But according to what we see, the company never officially canceled it, but it kept it in abeyance for all these years.

This has been confirmed by the CEO of Level 5, Akihiro Hino, in the most recent edition of the magazine Famitsu. There, he mentioned that even the editor of this publication, Hirokazu Hamamura, asked him if he could remove it from the magazine's launch schedule. However, he asked her to keep it. It seems like it was Hamamura who suggested that he develops Ushiro for Nintendo Switch, which does not seem like a bad idea.

according to Hino, there are things you can do with Ushiro but not with Yo-Kai watch. He said they had not started working on the project yet, but new creators of the study wanted to work on it. He stood out laughing "The fact that we have these feelings as if we did not create the game when we wanted to do it is like a ghost project or something like that".

It's hard to know when Ushiro for Nintendo Switch You will see the light. This year marks the twentieth anniversary of Level 5. Hopefully this time this title is launched, and do not stay in the freezer for another decade. Really Akihiro Hino and his team likes to "give things" to things. If there is a new update on this in a few months, it means that the project is still going on. Thanks to Gematsu for the details.
