Vehicle Tugboats in Mexico City-Toluca; they report at least 9 dead

After a brake failure, a trailer hit cars on the Mexico-Toluca highway near Puerta Santa Fe, killing at least nine people (eight men and one woman), according to the Ministry of Security. Public (SSP) of Mexico.

The SSP said that there are 16 injured people who are already treated in different hospitals.

The accident occurred at kilometer 14.5 of the Mexico-Toluca highway and Prolongación Gómez Farías, in the district of Peña Blanca, in the municipality of CDMX of Allvaro Obregón.

The SSP reported that a 41-year-old woman was currently under investigation "that allegedly drove the Toluca trailer to Cuautitlán Izcalli, in the state of Mexico, when 39, she hit several damaged vehicles ".

C5 reported that elements of the Ministry of Public Safety and Emergency Services arrived at the scene to treat the wounded.
