Querétaro, Qro.- At his last participation at a meeting of the Mexican Institute of Social Security (IMSS), President Enrique Peña Nieto declared that he was leaving a solid institution, in black numbers and with financial viability at least until the year 2030.

A few days after the end of his six-year term, he called for the preservation of institutions such as the IMSS, because they are the ones who guarantee the development of the country, "surmount the situations, transcend the governments and define times ".

He hoped that this institute would continue to grow and strengthen in the future, because, he said, to receive him "frankly bankrupt" in 2012, when he assumed the presidency, today leaves him in good financial health, with more infrastructure and improved services.

This has been possible, he explained, because there has been a record number of job creation over this sexennium and, with 4 million jobs, the contributions made by these workers from the formal sector strengthen the income of the institution.

"Before, the numbers did not allow or did not give the viability to the investment that the institute had to make to extend its infrastructure, and in six years it was possible to reverse this adverse scenario" , did he declare.

He said that healthy finances have enabled the construction of 12 hospitals, 40 family medicine units and 10 breast clinics, and have been expanded by 10 million as well as the number of beneficiaries served, totaling 80 million.

The IMSS "reminds us of the importance of preserving and strengthening the great institutions of Mexico, it is the institutions that ensure the long-term development, because they overcome the junctions, transcend the governments and define the times, it is the institutions that will allow us to continue to transform our nation, "Peña Nieto said.

The president directed here the 109th ordinary general assembly of the IMSS, a framework in which were inaugurated simultaneously the new regional general hospital number 2, located in this city hall, and the regional 58 of León, Guanajuato.

In front of the governor Francisco Domínguez Servién; the representative of the employers' sector (Concanaco-Servitur), José Manuel López Campos; Senator Carlos Aceves, leader of the Mexican Workers' Confederation (CTM) and representative of the workers, and the director general of the IMSS, Tuffic Miguel Ortega, Peña Nieto, insisted on leaving a healthy IMSS.

"Thanks to financial discipline, a financial surplus of over 21 billion pesos was generated from 2016 to 2018," their income was greater than their expenses and, I repeat, viability is guaranteed at least 2030 "he says

The Tuffic Miguel Ortega, in his report to the Assembly, pointed out that "at the end of the administration," we delivered a different IMSS, which is now moving resolutely towards the 39; future. "

At the beginning of the six-year period, "the rescue seemed imminent", the digitization had not yet arrived, the infrastructure was stagnant and this resulted in low attention and complaints.

After investing 21 billion pesos in infrastructure, equipment and modernization, equivalent to the annual budget of three ministries, "we can proudly say that we have a different institution," he said. he said, pointing out that the level of satisfaction of the beneficiaries have increased from 77% to 86% in six years.
