A new feature – security-oriented – may soon reach WhatsApp which would help protect its users from malicious links.
This is a new feature called ] "Suspicious Link Detection" that will warn the user when he receives a link that could pose a security risk.
The function was discovered by the site WABetaInfo portal known for discovering new options – and future – in the application.
The user will notice a dangerous link, because the application will mark these links with the red color . In addition, WhatsApp will display a message to alert the user
. This feature will be an ideal tool for protecting users against spam, as well as against malicious pages such as fake contests or fake news.
WhatsApp momentarily did not disclose when it will release this function for all its users nor did it indicate how it would identify links that might be risky for its users.
