CITY OF MEXICO.- The Tax Administration Service (SAT) has identified a new tax evasion scheme involving 600,000 businesses of all kinds, including those dedicated to services, media and football teams, in addition to more than 13,000 partners or shareholders.
At a press conference, the central administrator of the planning and programming of the SAT federal tax audit, Samuel Magaña, indicated that in the tax simulation scheme assimilated to salaries, among these 13,000 people, there are individuals "publicly or politically exposed," publishes Milenio.com.

The SAT explained that in this modality Paid companies are involved and avoid all contributions to their posts, applying to its advantage the credit for wages, deductions and compensations.
"They disguise themselves not to pay this retention to the federal treasury through certain tax applications, such as offsets, accreditations, that is to say that they generate or simulate balances in favor or loss. income tax or salary credits from workers who do not exist to remove the entire retention or to bind it, "said the administrator of the SAT.
He added that the database of workers registered with the Mexican Institute of Social Security (IMSS) had also been disclosed and that surprises were found at the following observation: companies use employees who are already dead or who work simultaneously in 27 companies at the same time.
Thus, the SAT has identified that partners, shareholders, legal representatives, among others, large companies are involved in the use of this scheme, who are contacted to invite them to voluntarily correct their tax situation and to avoid thus be liable to prosecution for the possible commission of a crime.
In the first case identified, the taxpayer was asked voluntarily to correct his tax situation and to pay more than 161 million pesos (corresponding to five years of SRI), which allowed the closure of the criminal proceedings.
Up to now, about 400 million pesos have been recovered, reported the SAT.
