This discovery is made by a group of researchers from the French Institute of Oriental Archeology in Cairo and the University of Liverpool.

This group discovered how the Egyptians moved giant stones to build the pyramids 4,500 years ago.

It is assumed that they have found a unique system to lift the blocks of stone from the bottom to the top of the structure.

This method consists of a ramp with two ladders on its side, many holes for the laying of poles that, according to the researchers, have allowed to lift the heavy blocks of several tons.

An alabaster block was placed on a sled tied with ropes to the wooden posts.

By pulling the ropes, the ancient Egyptians could slide the blocks of the quarries by steep slopes of 20 degrees or more.

The mission successfully discovered a unique system to move the colossal stones from the bottom of the quarry. The discovery was made after an exhaustive topographical survey of the area and after the removal of the rubble that can be dated under the reign of Cheops during the fourth dynasty, in which the Great Pyramid of Giza was built.

Mustafa Waziri, secretary general of the Supreme Council of Antiquities, assured that it was the "first time that the block transfer system of the quarry was discovered and how he had managed to lift these blocks of several tons, which completely changed the agreement on the construction of "Pyramids" of Giza (Excelsior).
