YouTube introduces hashtags for video search

The official YouTube page details the rules for introducing hashtags into videos. The platform's policies prohibit creators from adding misleading labels as well as those intended to humiliate an individual or a group.

Hashtags Encouraging Violence or Hate and Any Explicit Sexual Reference are not permitted. YouTube ensures that it will delete videos that do not comply with these policies.

On the other hand, the use of obscene or offensive terms in the composition of a hashtag may result in the imposition of a limit of Age or up to the removal of the video.

In addition, YouTube recommends not to exceed the use of the new tool. If a video has more than 15 hashtags everything will be ignored and could result in the deletion of the content.
