Miami to host the first democratic debates 2020

The Democratic National Committee will hold the first presidential debates on the 2020 Miami elections on June 26-27, the commission said on Thursday.

The two-night event, which will be broadcast on NBC News, MSNBC and Telemundo, will be the first opportunity for contestants to compete on a stage in front of a national audience. The queues for the debates will be chosen at random and announced later, said the DNC,

The congested pool of Democrats who are fighting for the chance to challenge President Donald Trump has more than a dozen since the beginning of the year, and more and more candidates are expected to join the race in the next weeks.

Not all candidates will be allowed to go on stage in Miami. The DNC announced in February that a candidate should receive donations from at least 65,000 donors in at least 20 states and vote at least 1% in at least three polling stations to qualify for the debate. The range of randomized debates will pit the Democratic confrontations against the Republican party's 2016 debates, when the crowded GOP field was split into an upper and lower poll-based group.

Miami was among the main candidates for the organization of the 2020 Democratic National Convention, which was awarded to Milwaukee.

Perez, president of the DNC in a statement. "I am delighted that we have the chance to present our great candidates to the voters of Florida and the country."
