Michael B. Jordan set to return as Killmonger in Black Panther franchise

The sudden and untimely death of actor Chadwick Boseman in 2020 has left a lot of questions about where the Black Panther franchise is going.

Michael B. Jordan, who played the film’s villain Killmonger, revealed to People magazine that he’s ready to reprise the role in future Marvel Cinematic Universe films.

The 33-year-old star also opened up about the loss of his friend and former co-star and said he is still in mourning.

When asked about Boseman’s passing at the age of 44, Jordan was candid about the difficulty in dealing with it.

“It’s something close to my heart for many obvious reasons,” he said. ‘[I] has had a really tough year losing a loved one. And what that means for this franchise is that it was devastating.

But to be in this world in a character that I loved to play and work with [writer/director Ryan Coogler] and all of that good stuff is family. We created a family there, ”Jordan explained.

Adding: “So being able to be in this world again is something that I think will always be on the table in some capacity.”

Boseman died of stage IV colon cancer in August, first diagnosed in 2016, although it was not disclosed publicly until after his death.

Marvel Studios President Kevin Feige has said they will not be using a Chadwick Boseman CG, nor will they rerun another actor as King T’challa. As for Jordan’s Killmonger, there is no plan for him to return but rumors suggest it is a possibility.

The Creed actor spoke to People while promoting his new partnership with the International WELL Building Institute on their WELL health and safety rating, which will provide a COVID security rating to businesses.

Meanwhile, the sexiest man in the world recently made headlines about his personal life and his new relationship with Lori Harvey.

The duo have been dating for a few months and were seen traveling together a few days before Thanksgiving. Clearly struck, the couple looked more serious soon after as they rang the doorbell together on New Year’s Eve.
