"To date, Mr. Cohen has found several documents that we believe are of great value to the various Congressional oversight and investigative committees," lawyers Lanny Davis, Michael Monico and Carly Chocron wrote.
Davis had served as special advisor to then-President Bill Clinton in the 1990s, especially during the Clinton removal. He supported Hillary Clinton in the 2016 presidential election.
The lawyers said that if Cohen, Trump's former attorney and repairman, had examined the documents alone, without any help, and if he showed up as expected at the jail on May 6, he could not finish the examination of documents.
