The biggest grudge match in the history of Bellator. The biggest MMA fight in the history of the United Kingdom. A blood simmered for years. Michael Page against Paul Daley has had all the qualities of a brilliant battle for the ages.
That it was not.
Saturday night's main event, the Bellator 216, proved to be a tactical affair as Daley used a cumbersome game plan against his formidable opponent, to the chagrin of fans who expected a merciless war between two guys who hate each other. Page (14-0 MMA, 9-0 BMMA), however, was able to fend off Daley (40-17-2 MMA, 6-4 BMMA) and won a unanimous victory in the series headline aired on DAZN Mohegan Sun Arena in Uncasville, Connecticut
With this win, Page remains undefeated and qualifies for the semi-finals of the Bellator Welterweight Grand Prix, where he will meet former champion Douglas Lima.
